Memories Not Had is an experimental animation of painful family stories under China’s one-child policy. From 1979 to 2015, the People’s Republic of China introduced and implemented the one-child policy to control the rapidly growing population. However, the rule has also brought many unforeseen problems. This animation can help people understand the impact of this policy on Chinese families, including a historical brochure and movie poster.
